CEI looks to a bright future for Asian-American execs

A great Corporate Executive Initiative meeting in Sutton Parlor South just wrapped up, with Ascend VP of External Affairs, Wesley (Wes) Hom discussing CEI’s important efforts to bring together Asian American executives and increase awareness among CEOs on the continuing challenge of increasing c-suite representation.

Recapped successful meeting with Cisco CEO John Chambers, and subsequent efforts at Cisco and other companies including Yahoo, HP, Deloitte, Verizon, Chevron, IBM, etc.

Discussed CEI’s advanced leadership program for emerging Asian execs, and future projects involving emerging opportunities in India and China for Asian American executives.

CEI “seeks to develop Pan-Asian American leadership talent throughout the executive pipelines of large companies,” and its members are “senior executives committed to  developing Asian American talent and establishing a more visible and influential voice for Pan-Asian corporate leaders.”
